Athletics Complex reopens for Community Members
To our Valued Athletics Complex members, staff, faculty, and students:
Our last message to the public on December 14 outlined the closure of our campus and Athletics Complex to the public to safely allow our students, staff, and faculty to complete the exam period as cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant were rising.
While the number of positive cases remains high, we plan to welcome our community users with memberships to the Athletics Complex's Fitness Centre starting on Monday, January 10. Only those with existing memberships will be allowed to access the fitness centre along with Acadia students, staff and faculty. No drop-ins are permitted. You must be a current member to access the Fitness Centre.
Use of the Fitness Centre and other recreational opportunities outlined below requires an appointment, a valid membership card, and proof of double vaccination along with a government-issued photo ID. Masks will remain mandatory within the Athletics Complex.
Fitness appointments can be made at https://recreation.acadiau.ca . Educational videos on how to enter the facility, use the fitness centre, and book an appointment can be found at https://recreation.acadiau.ca
What facility features are available to community membership holders?
Monday's opening to the public includes the Fitness Centre, Open Swimming, Walking Track, and Open Skates. Use of these facility features MUST BE booked online at https://acadiau.legendonlineservices.ca/enterprise/account/login Booking of open swimming, walking track, and open skates will begin online on Sunday.

For those users who have facility memberships that have been suspended since December 14, we are offering an extension to your facility membership for the time missed during the closure.
Everyone accessing the facility must follow health and hygiene procedures to keep the Acadia Athletics Complex safe for all users. Health and safety measures include wearing masks when inside the facility, social distancing, and proof of double vaccination.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Acadia Athletics Complex.
