Athletics Complex restricts users to students, staff/faculty

To our Valued Acadia Athletics Complex Members:

With the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in the Province of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Health Authority and Acadia University are taking quick action to reduce the chance of the spread of the omicron variant of COVID-19.

We are acting out of an abundance of caution, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We take our responsibility seriously to ensure the facility remains operational for Acadia students, staff, and faculty.

Because of the current state of the community spread in the Province, we have put additional measures in place that limit access to the Acadia Athletics Complex to ensure the safety of our University community, which includes staff, faculty, and above all, students.

The Athletics complex will be closed to community drop-ins, community memberships, and external rentals until further notice.

Acadia staff, faculty and students will continue to access the fitness centre, the pool and the arena for skating.

Fitness centre bookings by community members will be honoured until the facility's closure on Tuesday, December 14.

The Acadia Sports Therapy Clinic will remain operational. If you are a client of the ASTC and have questions, please contact the Clinic directly at 902-585-1625.

Holiday hours will be sent out to Acadia staff, faculty and students in the coming days.

Thank you all for your continued support during this time. We will ensure that the Acadia Athletics Complex is a safe environment for all our users and keep you informed of any future changes
