Double vaccination proof required to enter Athletics Complex

With the plan of Nova Scotia entering a modified Phase 5 of its pandemic plan on Monday, October 4, 2021, Acadia University will maintain many of the current health and safety protocols in keeping with their safety-first approach.

Will the Acadia Athletics Complex require proof of Vaccination?

  • Yes, because Acadia hosts activities that both the general public and Acadia students can attend, the Acadia Athletics Complex will require proof of vaccination for both Acadia students and anybody participating in any programming within the Athletics Complex.

Will we have to present our vaccination card every time we come in?

  • Yes, you are required to present this every time you come into the facility.

Will you be storing my information?

  • Privacy is of the utmost importance. Acadia will not store any personal health information.

Will I be able to access the facility at alternate entrances?

  • The Acadia Athletics Complex will require all participants to check in at the Athletic Service Desk prior to their program or activity. If stairs are a concern, please let the staff know and we will be happy to assist you through the elevator and through the lower door.

What are acceptable forms of Proof of Vaccine?

Acadia Athletics will resume on-campus home games under the following conditions.

  • All fans/guests/invitees must provide proof of full vaccination.
  • If attending an event, please arrive early as we anticipate longer than normal admission times.
  • Masks are required at all times at indoor sports events. Fans may only remove masks indoors to eat or drink while seated.
  • Masks are not required at outdoor sports events but must be worn by fans when moving through indoor spaces (entrances, hallways, washrooms, concessions, etc.).  Masking outdoors is recommended if social distancing is not achievable.
  • Modified catering at games will be provided. Food and beverages may only be consumed while seated. Chartwells will provide guidance and advice.

Season ticket holders will be allowed to attend games when providing proof of full vaccination when entering the venue.

Individual tickets may be purchased for all home games at the Acadia Box Office or online at , providing proof of full vaccination is shown when entering a sporting venue. Those who do not have proof of full vaccination will be denied admittance without any ticket refund.
