Fitness Classes

We offer a wide range of fitness classes, including HIIT, RIP, Step, Full Body Pump, Core, Spin, Yoga, Belly Dance, and Pilates! Work out with our fun and certified instructors!

 

2025 Summer Fitness Class Schedule

The below Summer schedule will start on June 30th and will run until the end of August. Please note we will not have classes on July 1st.

Classes are also cancelled from July 8th 10:00AM until July 10th 12:00PM. The Fitness Studio and Spin Room are in close proximity to the gymnasium, this closure is necessary to prevent the strong odours from the floor finish from affecting the air quality in the Fitness Studio and Spin Room. An air quality assessment will be conducted Thursday morning. If it is determined that the odour is still too strong, the Fitness classes will remain cancelled for the rest of the day and resume Friday morning at 9am.

FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING. This 1 hour strength conditioning class is a total body workout that will target all major muscle groups while pushing you through a high energy format. We can use any variety of free weights, body bars, gliders and your own body weight to perform compound exercises, utilizing supersets or tabattas and more. You will improve overall strength, muscular endurance, and body composition. All levels are welcome.
Location: STUDIO

FULL BODY PUMP. A high rep, lower weights workout that works all areas of the body; this encourages a cardio workout while increasing muscle mass.  All set to great music!
Location: STUDIO

CORE. The 1 hour Core and More Class is designed to improve your posture and build core muscle groups through a variety of exercises. Each class will help to strengthen your abdomen and back muscles while increasing your flexibility. Walk taller, fell stronger. It may include a variety of equipment. All levels are welcome.

LET R RIP. Using body bars, free weights, and a step as a bench, simulate a weight room workout that is heart pounding, muscle burning, non-stop movement from start to finish.
Location: STUDIO

PILATES. A system of physical and mental conditioning that can enhance one's physical strength, flexibility, and coordination as well as reduce stress, improve mental focus, and foster an improved sense of well being. Pilates is for everyone and anyone!

BELLY DANCE. Move your body in beautiful ways that are healing and strengthening that bring joy/sensuality/beauty/grace. Teacher Angie Oriana Jenkins (of Sister Lotus) has been teaching and performing for over 25 years in BC, Mexico, and Nova Scotia. She has trained in several styles and incorporates Classical Egyptian, Tribal Fusion, Turkish, and more into her classes which also includes Yoga and Pilates for warm ups and cool downs.

SPIN. Our certified and passionate spin instructors are here to guide you through a journey of intervals, climbs, sprints, ensuring a varied and challenging workout for all fitness levels.  With each turn of a pedal, you have control over your bike's resistance, allowing you to tailor the intensity to your personal fitness goals.

STEP & CORE. One half will be cardiovascular conditioning with a step, followed by core conditioning.

HIIT. A type of interval training exercise. It incorporates several rounds that alternate between several minutes of high intensity movements to significantly increase the heart rate to at least 80% of one's maximum heart rate, followed by short periods of lower intensity movements.

YOGA. Join teacher Angie Oriana Jenkins (of Sister Lotus) who has been practicing and teaching in a variety of gyms and yoga studios in BC, Mexico, and Nova Scotia for over 25 years. Her class is a fusion of Iyengar, Kundalini, Power Flow , Pilates, Breath work, and more!
